Omaha go halves lots of rules with Texas Hold’em, with a few significant differences.
To start the game, every player in Omaha is dealt 4 cards face-down, in its place of 2 as in Hold’em. Players apply their four faces down cards and the five community cards that are ultimately dealt in the center to make their top poker hand probable.

That said, the method you make your top hand is one more main difference among Omaha and Hold’em appears. In Hold’em, you exercise any grouping of your two faces down cards and the five community cards to create your top hand. You can apply one card from your hand and four from the board, two from your hand and three from the board, or then play the five cards on the board.

In Omaha, though, you should apply both of your hole cards while making your top five card hand. You don’t have the choice of applying simply one. So if you have the AhKd face-down and the board is 10h 9h 3h 2h Qs, in Omaha you just hold an Ace high hand, and not a flush, since you should apply both of your hold cards. In Hold’em, you have an Ace high flush with hearts, as you can apply just one of your hole cards if you so select, but that isn’t the point in Omaha. Omaha poker rules are varying somewhat from Texas.
